Exploration Science is a transversal element of ESA’s Human and Robotic Exploration programme, bringing together scientific expertise across disciplines to enable and maximise the return of space exploration activities.
Our work is structured in four science teams: Enabled Science, Human Exploration Science, Lunar Science, and Mars & Beyond Science. In addition, we address transversal scientific topics such as Biology and Radiation, fostering collaboration across domains to tackle complex scientific challenges.
In addition, we are committed to engaging and supporting early career scientists through internships, traineeships, PhD positions, and postdoctoral research opportunities. By fostering new talent and providing hands-on experience within our scientific teams, we contribute to developing the next generation of experts driving the future of exploration science.
